Where would water in the intercooler come from? Is this from condensation? I found a good 4-5 fl. oz. in the intercooler. Its beginning to rust my $1000 intercooler kit from the inside out :3d_frown:

Actually, the intercooler itself is aluminum, however the pipes are steel. Its ETS' kit. It was a very early kit by them, in fact all the pipes are steel except for one, the 3-thousand pipe, its aluminum. I emailed them about it after the fire (once the coating came off i realized it) b/c i was very confused by this. He said it should have been steel but no big deal. He offered to replace it but i was fine with it.

I come from a land down under
I'd have them cad plated to prevent any rust that may flake off in time but if it's like most 7M's it'll breathe a bit heavy and will Oil coat them soon enough.

As for the water it could be condensation if you get big swings in temp and the car isn't running for long periods.

^alright i figured. Temps do change a lot around here. Though, i DD the car (well i did before the trans issue). I'll look into the cad plating options, see what may fit my budget.
