Normal configuration for the wastgate actuator is right at the end of the turbo discharge. Would it not be possible to use the 3000 tube to provide the "real" pressure after the losses of piping and intercooler etc?

Shorter means faster reaction and less chance for leaks.

It has been done, but it's not that important (as a boost controller will allow you to adjust it where you want)

Thanks poodles, wasn't thinking reaction time at all. I am also about to install my first MBC so higher pressures will soon be possible.

It won't make a dot of difference to "reaction time" what it will do is add the drop across the IC to the WG spring, so say you have a 10 psi spring and a 2 psi drop your WG won't open till 12 psi.

This can be either a good or a bad thing depending on your goals.

Actually IJ that is what I expected and exactly the result I was trying to achieve, thank you

Longer hose = more chance for leaks or pinching...

On our setup it won't be long enought o matter, maybe with a FFIM it might though.
