I am finally getting around to putting my engine back together and I ran into a snag here. 
I just got the head back from the machine shop where they resurfaced it and did a valve re-grind.
I clamped it down to the block and installed the cams to measure my clearances. I found that several of the valves have no clearance, and most others are too tight, which I imagine is normal after having the valves re ground.
The problem is that A couple of my clearances are at zero (or possibly slightly holding the valve open) and those shims are already the smallest offered replacement shim.
My exhaust 1 and 4 valves are all this way, and my intake number one has this problem.
