vacum and wiring connector question

ok this is a 2 part question

1st off this vacum "tree" is for a 7mgte, i am putting back together a 7mge, and for the life of me, the TSRM dosnt go into detail, but i gather they are 2 different pieces?

what are these connectors for? both next pictures

one of those connectors was rigged the wires twisted together not even tapped :nono:

i take it this is the knock sensor?

The vacuum "tree" you show with the three branches at the top bolts to the front (of the car) on the side of the intake manifold. There's a smaller second one which mounts below the intake manifold (toward the rear of the engine). The EPC has the best diagrams for use as a reference.

With the wires it's easier to identify if you supply the colors of the color coded wires going to each plug.

haha guess i should have been clear, i know where that vacume tree goes. but i think there is a difference between the ge and gte, im just trying to conferm.
