okay before I'm flammed here's the scoop.
Look at my FS on parts section, its got the whole sob story there (I got a VAFC when i wanted an SAFC)

anyway, i got a call from chase (cnewingham), saying that the VAFC has been used on supras before, now i had already contemplated this notion before hand, "hey its just adding v-tech to its bag of tricks also it should work" so i surfed the net and apexi's site for wiring diagrams, looking at the wiring, the pink and orange wire (which on the SAFC is used for our AFM, karmen vortex types) is used for VTEC control, and only the white/blue are used for the AFM (white blue are not used on the SAFC for our car) and the purple is also used for V/T pressure (which on SAFC is used for knock) So i came to a ruff conclusion that the VAFC does not support Karmen vortex AFM, and to further drive the point home i went ahead and connected the VAFC + and - to my ecu and turned it on and surfed the menus, there's no option AT ALL for changing AFM types as far as i can tell.
now, is there anyone out there that knows better or knows how this is possible. (no i won't get an S-AFC, yes i'll be upgrading to MAFT pro when i get back, but i'd like to tune my car and enjoy it for the remaining 12 days i have here)
