an ASA is just a small part that the CO2 tank screws into, some are direct pin pushers (not what you want) and some have on/off valves (what you want)

Could go this route and have a host already on it, just screws onto the tank and has an on/off already built in, or could go this route and design your own nozzle system for it, all fittings on this are 1/8 NPT and easy enough to find in any hardware store

How is the first one supposed to work. I dont even have a mild clue how the second one is supposed to work.

propane does get cool when it goes from high pressure to low, and it COULD theoretically be used in an AC system due to its very low boiling point like r134 refrigerant has, BUT its not used for it because if you crash your car that wouldnt be good. Any gas with a low boiling point or vaporization point will work. the reason is when high pressure is applied a gas or liquid heats up. When you quickly drop the pressure it becomes very cold. This is the principle behind air conditioning.

The r134 is pressurized which superheats it, then ran through a condensor which cools off the latent heat, then shot throught a small orifice which causes an abrupt pressure drop and creates sub cooled refrigerant, which takes heat from the air passing through it, therefore cooling the air. :) so yeah, propane would work, but its way too explosive to be spraying infront of your car. Stick to proven methods.

the first one works by screwing it on top of a co2 bottle....thats it :)

second one same thing, but would need fittings

it has a knob on it, you turn it in, it pushes the pin valve in the top of the tank and CO2 comes out the end of the hose

ummm...doubtful, its paintball stuff, if you have a paintball store anywhere near you that would be your best bet, or order from online

and idea for homade CO2 sprayer.

you could make brackets and have the tank stored up front, next to the coolent overflow bottle, then you could rout the hose to something that would disperse the air around the IC, like one of those round things. hell if you wanted to get fancy, you could use a nitrous remote bottle opener and not leave your car.
