Upgraded walbro fuel pump. Do I MUST do the 12v mod?

I will do it eventually but if you guys are seeing my other thread with the JDM fuel in my supra you will understand that I am trouble shooting my car.

I was wondering if the car will run find with me just installing the walbro fuel pump directly the the stock electrical system and not doing the 12V mod for now. I just want to know if the car will run. Or must I do the 12V mod to get the right working on the pump? Sorry I had a few drinks and searching is not the easiest to do right now hehe. Thanks

The car should run fine if you hook it up just like stock. The main reasons for doing the 12v mod are:

1) No tuning around a voltage change.
2) Constant supply of 12v = more fuel to work with all over the scale.
