Even though my Supra has been running fine it has Been about a cpl yrs since I had checked & set timing to 10 BTDC. Thought I would check it out & set it to 12-13 to get a little more kick. I Warmed the car up & had her Idling at 650 RPM. I Jumpered the E1 and TE1 terminals Hooked up the timing light to plug wire #1. This is a $250 top end light that shows RPM readings & it read 1300-1450 RPMs while my tach was at 650~ & timing at 25-30. On the Crank it Showed 15. If those were true readings I would think I could hear pinging at slight acceleration & it would run like Ass. FWIW I'm running Tookwik's 7M C.O.P. ignition mod & Maft Pro but I dont see how that could affect this. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong.

When you jumped those plugs out, was the check engine light blinking with the key on? If not, probably the TPS is not adjusted right or went bad, but it seems more likely that the timing light is reading off I think....

Yea the Check Engine was blinking Rapidly.. No Codes. I'm sure it is reading off. My Supra was idling at 650~ purring great with that Toyota F/I Tic. Timing light was checked on another car (non-Supra) & read fine. Must have it hooked up wrong but I just don't see how.

You should be able to hear it at 1300 versus 650. That means you are doing something wrong.

The clamp goes on the number one wire as close to the head as you can. Is it dial to zero light?

What was the other car? Ive seen on aftermarker tachs you have to select the amount of cylinders per application. Maybe you have to on the light too?
