OK, so 1,500 miles ago i put a brand new SPEC clutch in my car, Now when i start the car up i cannot put it into gear. When i turn the car off and put it into gear (1st) there's noise that comes from the transmission or inside the bell housing, What do u think could be wrong?

Yeah bleed the clutch. and check how much end play you have?

I haven't tried it yet, but tomorrow i'll give it a try.... it's weird whenever i rev it in neutral it revs freely with no drag but when i put it in gear and try to engage the clutch it jerks violently and sounds like somethings loose inside the bell housing, it don't really know how to adjust it properly... i guess i should just adjust the clutch out a little more with the adjusting screw that goes from the pedal to the clutch master...?

Ok, here's an update on this problem... when i first start up the car i can push the clutch in and put it into gear, After about 5 times pushing the clutch in and putting it in gear, It will then not allow me to put it in gear, seems like maybe my clutch slave cylinder isn't pushing the pressure plate to disengage the clutch, also there's a chattering that happens when i push down the clutch and slowly release i hear chattering... could it be possible that my Throwout bearing came loose? I've determined that my transmission is fine, but i think my clutch might have a problem with engagment and disengagment, Any one have other thoughts?

You positive you didn't put the clutch plate in backward? If so then check the clutch fork for play.

Sounds like you're pumping the fluid up to get pressure to the slave to engage the disk. What shape is the master cylinder and slave in? Wouldn't account for the chatter I don't believe though. You might end up pulling it and checking the whole assembly:nono:

The chatter could be the clutch grabbing to slow. Letting the pedal out to slow will only burn up the clutch and glaze the flywheel. Your problem sounds like either the master or slave cylinder, and I would recommend changing both. BTW, which SPEC did you get? Certain clutches will chatter on the street regardless, as they're made for racing, not normal driving. If you put the clutch in backwards, it would more than likely be engaged all the time, and you would have been having problems the first time you drove it.

I pulled the transmission tonight and it all looks fine, no play in the throwout bearing or the pilot bearing, Everything looks fine, the clutch slave and master are new and in good working condition.... I'm gonna have Toyota look at it for me, since i don't know what's wrong.

Like cuel said, some clutches just don't work well for street. They will grab real well for the strip, but will chatter under regular street use, i.e. taking off slow from a dead start. He also asked which clutch you got. I would not know the difference, but somebody else might know.

Ok, i've got an update of the problem, what happend is one of the flywheel bolts broke off some how... Well i guess they backed themselfs out and it caught on the disc and screwed up the rivets on the disc, the reason why they backed them selfs off is the crankshaft where the flywheel bolts up to wasn't flat, looks like it's scored up for some reason. So, i'm gonna have toyota install a new FACTORY OEM clutch kit and resurface the flywheel and put a new pilot bearing in.

Probably got scored when it started letting loose. If it is scored I hope they can fix it without pulling the motor.

Well toyota called me today and told me that they'de have to pull the engine and have the crankshaft replaced or repaired so they said it would cost over $2,000 so i'm just gonna try to get it back together and running myself. Is there anything i can do about trying to get the surface flat where the flywheels bolts up to the crankshaft? What type of locktite should i use? What's the stronget stuff i can get? since these bolts cannot come loose again.

I was afraid of that... I guess you could try to smooth it out with a file, grinder, dremel, something like that, to take the high spots off. Loctite, I think the red is the strong stuff, just read on the container. I think I would try to fix it in the car if you can, don't know how bad it is? Can you get some pics? The $2000.00 bill I'm willing to bet would grow to around $3500 or so by the time they got into it.
