Tips for winter storage

Jack stands, full tank of gas and a trickle charger if you don't plan to start the car from time to time. Fuel stabilizer is a maybe and you'll get many different responses on that one.

I don't bother with jackstands anymore, that was more for the old days when tires were quite prone to flat spots. I usually just pop the tire pressure up about 10 psi before putting it away. I do add fuel stabilizer, more important for summer storage but fuel does start to go bad after 6 months (less so in colder climates). Wash and wax the car, if stored outdoors get a soft cover, if indoors make sure it is not going to be prone to heating and cooling constant temp is the best. Plug the exhaust with a rag to keep rodents out. Don't put the E-brake on Leave it off. Remove the battery. I like to do an oil change prior to storage, full tank of gas and check all other fluid levels. In cold climates I would make sure that your coolant is proper as well.
I'm sure there are more things that others do. I have winter stored my car outside for the 12 years I have owned and never have trouble in spring.
Insert battery, fire and drive.
