Timing issues.

So i have serched this and found the answer many times and some photos but i still cannot solve my timing issue. The CPS has like 2in of movement so im guessing its kinda sensitive? so i need to know how to get exactly 10 degrees from TDC, as thats what ive been told to put it at. any one know of a picture or writeup describing exactly how to time accurately? 1st gear has no boost and im pretty sure its timing.

The service manual is pretty explicit on the procedure. No boost in first? Are you serious?

Yes. No boost in first and 2nd gear is delayed til 3.25k and 3rd-5th start boostin at 2.5k just fine. and thanks ill check there

shaeff's timing guide. once its tdc, get a timing light, loosen the cps bolt, rotate till it the timing light shows 10*.

Well i took all my ic pipes off and gave them a very close inspection andnothin was found and put them back on perfectly. does boost run through any other pipes? and i had it once where it would boost right but i rechecked timing and messed it up i guess... so if i time it right i think itll solve the problem. atleast i hope.

with your car running, go under the hood and listen for hissing. are build a boost leak tester
