Just keep your eye on eBay for a nice old-school Nardi, Personal, TOM's, Tomei, Momo, etc.. the list goes on. Most of them will go for $40 or so. The better one's you'll pay that for shipping, but I've got my eye on a certain wheel that I can't seem to buy every time one goes up for auction. I will though. Someday....

I bought a $15 "Bride" one. It looks ok, but it's cheap... I mean, one can notice it's a cheap wheel.. now I want a stock 89 one. (My 88 one was ugly).

Is the 88 wheel the same size as the 89? My 88 was so big.. Like 380mm I think.

Wow, now that's the epitome of product trademark violation. HKS, doesn't even list any steering wheel in their product catalog, and trust, if it was genuine HK$, those wheels would be top dollar.

Yea they look kinda cheap...the last thing I'd want is a piece falling off while taking a corner or having the "leather" fall apart leaving me with a nice slippy aluminum steering wheel

Those cheap egay ones are dangerous..... They flex if you pull/push on them.

Don't wanna slam the brakes and whoooop your steering wheel caves in.

I bought one it was about 40 dollars and was just a no name I ran it all last year and had no problem so sorry to say for the dollar value it was worth it. The Momo hub adapter was $70 that sucked. My wheel has gone through the test and past and suprisingly the leather is still in good shape but I had to replace the horn button with a Momo, it just stopped working.

i dont know how you 88- guys can drive around with those ugly wheels lol man those things are ugly. A good swap if you cant find an 89 wheel is the celica wheels of the same era they say twin cam on them. Not as sexy as the 89 wheel but can be found cheap.

I've been using this one for the last few months, no problems, I'm happy with spending like $29 on it.

looks nice

but the problem is how will the steering wheel hold up under an accident. that would be my biggest concern.

I've never been too worried about it, the wheel is secured fine, and when looking at it before putting it on, as the center section is slightly indented from the rest of the circular section, i tried standing on the middle, no movement, so no worries from me =)
