after the inlet went in i decided to pull it back apart to get the new wastegate and BOV setup on. at the same time i wanted to rebuild my turbo being i did have a leak between the center cartage and backing plate, looks like the oring is rock hard and there is evidence of oil leaking in that area.

turbo broken down:

I have to say being a machinist/moldmaker myself, this is a nicely and well made part. if anyone needs one I highly recommend getting one from Andy at AZPerformance.com. i believe Driftmotion carries them as well.

I just read through this entire thread. Wow your car has come a long way. It really inspires me to get more work done on my engine. Thank you for kicking so much ass haha.

I came home today and pulled apart my turbo. Boy it needed it. I will ad pictures to my build thread. I have a few concerns about the compressor blades but I am not very knowledgeable about turbos.

That manifold is looking sick! The one on my car is a crusty cast one.

Do you plan on dyno tuning the new engine?

ill take a look at your build. my manifold is just a ebay manifold nothing too special, most likely will upgrade down the road when i overhall the turbo setup. yes i plan to get it tuned around mid December / early January if the back account allows lol.

I like the custom machined parts and the Wiring, very neat. Looking forward to seeing how it goes once it's all tuned.

Got my BOV welded on

My fittings and line finally got here last Monday

Friday morning when I was topping it off and a cop came up and talked to me…funny thing was all he wanted was to look at the car. Asked a few turbo questions, pointed out I was just running downpipe but said “it sounds good but might want to get it fixed so we don’t bust your balls” then said looks nice and walked off…didn’t even look at the plate…

Drove it all the way to Albert’s wedding and back, roughly a 90 mile round trip and she ran great the whole way!

next big thing is getting the exhaust and all the random wiring cleaned up, thinking about taking it out to the PAV's this weekend but we shall see
