Is what the setup did on the dyno, so he said in the comments on the page
"it delivers 630 rwhp and 844 nm at 2.4 bars boost, its not soo much, but there is about 500nm already at 2500rpm,
the only problem is that the gearbox dont wqant to hold together, im lokking for my 3rd box for 2 months now, implaning to sell the car :("

This is my good friends twin charged RB30, don't flame me because its a Nissan motor, its similar and the facts are relevant.

its running in a "holden commodore" its a opal shell pretty much

15psi by 2500rpm and 20psi by 3000rpm with a GT35, its a interesting setup, the charger draws air through the turbo, he used a 1 way valve

i have thought about a similar setup for my 7m, he used a SC14 supercharger as well

Just turbocharger, 98 octane

Red is Twin Charged, Blue is Turbo charged, the result is an impressive power delivery.

he's upped the turbo boost now and reduced the size of the charger pulley,

They pulley is on a clutch which the ecu disengages under X rpm, X boost etc as to not restrict top end so much. it weighs 1100kg and is a street car :p

hopefully this will give you a good idea of how a functional setup should look

I think he means they have the intake on the supercharger for the cold side of the IC piping. There for when the supercharger spins and sucks in air it forces the turbo to draw in air too. Could be extremely wrong though.

I'd believe that is the best way to do it. Theres a couple videos of RB30s and if i remember right there's a couple company's that make a twincharged setup for those motors.

RB30dett's are a pretty cool motor lol sorry i kno its off topic but what would really be retarded fast imo would be a twin turbo 7m with an sc forcing air in motor.
*that might be over board, but that would be retarded if everything worked out and to drive it on the street*

yeah, it uses a 1 way valve, the excess air from the turbo is not routed through the supercharger, he put alot of research into it and the result is amazing. Except the car has absolutely 0 traction !

That's a Australian delivered RB30 as they fitted it to our commodores. its SOHC too. either way i thought the comparative dyno graphs would be useful to someone :)

The concept behind it is to spool the turbo quicker then turn the supercharger off as the turbo is the main power maker. as you can see the torque curve has moved significantly, as a result its not such a big punch in the face and the wheels like to grip a little better, he was aiming for a more drivable setup

Everyone usually replaces the supercharger pulley with a smaller one, but if you increase the size of the actual drive pulley (he ran his off the water pump) he was able to get more boost out of the same sized clutch pulley

here is a video before he got it actually re tuned (sorry about the shit quallity)

additionally, the SC14 is sufficient for a 3L, we have lots of buick v6s (3.8L) down here that people slap the SC14 on and run around 10-12psi with no issues of course it will be over driven.
