Well, finally...the new high tech turbo is in my room ;-)

Turbo specs:

Precision Race Turbocharger 6766 HP CEA
-------------------------------------------------------------------
• Mid-frame T4 turbocharger (bolted section frame)
• Exclusive CEA® (Competition Engineered Aerodynamics)
• Billet compressor wheel, machined from a 2618 - aluminum forging
• Higher efficiency and faster transient response for maximum performance
• Lightweight dual ceramic ball-bearing rotating assembly (CHRA)
• Oil & Air cooled center housing

Compressor housing - wheel :
- Exclusive CEA® (Competition Engineered Aerodynamics) comp. wheel
- 67mm inducer compressor wheel
- Billet compressor wheel (forged 2618 aluminum forging)
- "HP" compressor cover 4.0" inlet / 3" outlet (hose slip in type)
- Anti-surge compressor housing with .75 A/R compressor cover

Turbine housing - wheel :
- Exclusive CEA® (Competition Engineered Aerodynamics) turbo wheel
- 66mm exducer turbine wheel
- T4 style footprint, divided housing (twin-scroll)
- 1.00 A/R turbo housing (cast in 'Inconel 713' for high-temperature operation)
- 3'' 5/8 V-band discharge (for the downpipe)

Turbo was purchased from 'INDUCTION PERFORMANCE' and was ordered with some optional features on the PT6766 turbo :
# Big 3.15' inch compressor elbow for best volume flow
# Ported compressor housing
# Polished compressor cover
# Ceramic heat coating on turbo housing (black)

Precision claims around 930 HP for the 6766.
I think with the custom extra compressor housing porting and polishing, along with the big 3'.15'' inch
compressor elbow for the 3.15'' IC pipping and some race gas it will hit the 1000 hp mark :)
And there is also the possibility to go with a 1.15 A/R turbo housing for some extra ponies if needed!
We'll see..Target will be around 800-850 flywheel HP with pump gas (100' Octane, Shell V-power gas)

wow  got some shiny stuff for the soup :p a/r 100 eh? must be building a top-end monster :evil2:

now I've gotta ask, since I've been trying to obtain parts for my car (and have been met with miserable failure) how do you go about ordering parts from toyota?

reason I ask is I've tried ordering tail light gaskets from suprastore and they forgot about my order or something... never processed it. so I went to toyota, same thing happened :aigo:

Go to a local Toyota dealer. This is what I do, and I go with the part numbers written down on a piece of paper!
I use www.toyodiy.com to find any part number I want for any Supra model (import , export, etc.)

After the turbo installation (will post pictures and dyno later), and running the car for almost an year without
any other change or upgrade, I decided to get some more parts. This time I focused on performance parts that
will help to keep down the engine temperature and cooling in general, cause high HP = 'Heat' ;-)

-New aftermarket 3 row aluminum radiator (2.2 inch core) custom made for the mk3 Supra
p1997291_1.jpg

-Two new aftermarket 12' Spall electric push fans that will be installed on the radiator with a special installation kit.
(will be controlled, both fans at the same time from the cockpit via a relay/switch. The fans will be located between the
A/C condenser and the radiator. Only slim fans can fit in there, around 2 inch of wide space. The stock mechanical fan will be kept ofcaurse!
p1997291_2.jpg

-N/A 2JZ-GE fan. This fan will seat around 1.5'' inch towards the upper radiator hose and will give the extra room for a tight clean installation of
the big core aluminum radiator. Also the upper coolant neck of the motor should be shortened by 1.5'' inch before the installation of the 2JZGE fan.
p1997291_3.jpg

-New aftermarket twin 16 row aluminum performance oil coolers. Will locate them under the head lights and behind the oem fog lights.
(since there will be some lack of fresh air to cool them, custom duct will be placed to direct some fresh air)
p1997291_4.jpg

p1997291_5.jpg

p1997291_6.jpg

-New massive 4 row intercooler, 600mm x 300mm x 120mm core, with 3' end pipes
p1997291_7.jpg

p1997291_8.jpg

-New oem stock toyota undertray plastic panel
(we all know the use of this part, which will optimise radiator performance and cooling in general)

Thanks for documenting everything. Nice build thread and car. I look forward to seeing the cooling system installed.

Thanks! Will post some pics soon of the radiator and oil coolers installed...

New aftermarket twin row radiator and 2JZ-GE fan

New aftermarket 16 row oil coolers

Engine bay , notice the shortened upper coolant neck and the 2JZ-GE fan...still a tight fit!
p2003219_3.jpg

Stock oem fan shroud, rad. coolant hoses and the intercooler pipping fits nice with just a small modification.

...and another daylight view of the eng. bay from a JAP car festival where I went a week ago!

Hey hey.

I searched and seen a intercooler you sold. I am interested in the mounting bits you had on it.
Do you have pictures of the new one you put in with mounting brackets?

I'm trying to mount mine and getting too fussy with it.

It's 300×600×100

Thanks!

Sorry..for the late response.
I sold a 300x600x650 intercooler. I have now a 300x600x125. It's a very tight fit,realy tight.
I had to make custom mounts, and modify the hood mount bar that the horns are located on it.
Also modified the tow hook a little. I got 3" IC pipping all around.
