how would i look into that? hard to say if i can get a dealer to sponser such a old and rare car. might do something in the import magazine, still not sure what to say.

Try contacting them. I know of a couple dealerships that have annual shows for older, rare cars.

Nationals were in July last year, they are in July this year also (make sure you register and get out here for this one!) www.pacnwsupranationals.com. I'm with Jayhall, this sounds like an awesome idea, but I don't think I'll be driving both ways. If it only costs between $900 and $1200 to freight it home, I'd do that.

I honestly think $1200 for the train might be cheaper than gas. And the $400 for a one way ticket home on a plane, well worth it for your time alone..... you wouldnt have to drive the prairies again!

Check with the shipping company about minimum clearance. I couldn't ship a Supra by Semi because the guys I was talking to wouldn't do it with less than 7" clearance. Umm... not gonna happen on a lot of our cars.. :)

How are they up in Powell River, down in the lower mainland you can expect to pay $1.40 - $1.55 for 94 octane depending on if you're in the greater vancouver regional district or not.

1.43 for 94 from chevron, the tank will now hold over 100 bucks in gas :S

I thought the fuel tank was a 60 litre, that's ONLY $85 :icon_razz. I know what you mean though, I remember filling up for ~$50, now most fill ups are ~$75

This would be a blast, and I should have a finished MKIII by then, however.. that is also the same year that my daughter is getting married and its on a cruise ship out of Orlando.. so.. wont be able to afford it. However.. I would like to run with you guys as you go through Alberta (kind of a meet up with you at your first stop and then crawl through until Medicine Hat (if our taking the #1) or maybe even Swift Current... :) )

No activity in several months. I should be able to get a couple weeks off for this, so I'm curious if it'll still be happening?
