I never thought coilovers would be a bad thing but these ones are starting to piss me off a bit. I bought a car with Tein Flex coilovers and it's been sitting for almost a year. There is a bit of rust on the threads and the nuts on all of them were difficult to turn.

However, on one of the coilovers the jam nut is WAY over-tightened and/or rusted to the adjusting nut. I got a cheater bar and was able to turn both at the same time but I ended up bending the coilover wrench.

So the question is: does anyone know of a way to loosen the jam nut from the adjusting nut?

Any help is much apprecitated. This car NEEDS to be lower!

I come from a land down under
CRC/ WD40 /PB Blaster it and let it soak for a few hours then take a large pin punch and making sure you get the direction right for undoing the lock nut place the punch in a notch and give it a whack this "should" shock it loose enough for the wrench to work!

Thanks man. I put some PB Blaster on it this afternoon (A LOT OF IT) so I will try a punch on it in the morning. I tried to shock it loose by using a hammer on the wrench but the bushings seemed to be absorbing it all. Hopefully I'll see better results with a punch.

THANKS AGAIN!
