in case this left the front the page before a few more people got a chance to see it.

I will have the 2nd gen bar in my hands in a couple days. And production run begins immediately!

When/how will you take deposits, payments, etc? How can we get on "the list?"

I will be taking payments when I officially start the GB thread. Im taking Reign makers advice and waiting until I actually have something to ship before I start taking money. Should be this weekend now for sure!

price estimate is 125-150. The box is gonna be 46x32x6 so unfortunately it falls under the 70lb catagory. Its gonna cost me $20 a box (at bulk rate even, but Im still looking for a cheaper alternative) UPS ground is gonna be around 45 to west coast and 75 for east coast. So, shipped it should be around $200 - $250 depending on where you live.

If I can find someplace to scrounge boxes for free I will, and Im trying to get him to price these based on a run of 20 (even though he isnt making all 20 right off the bat). Im gonna do what I can to keep these under 200 bucks shipped for everyone. (its too bad its not foldable...lol)

Just make it as fair as you can make it. That's all anyone can ask. Don't cheat yourself out of a profit. If they want one, they'll come up with the money. I definately want one................lol

I can't think of any box sources myself, tho I know taht there are all kinds of suppliers. If anything, maybe we can get several pieces in 1 box for a local group... Like if 5 in DFW buy 'em, then maybe get 1 bigger box and ship together... then maybe it'll get into the better weight/size category for shipping.

hey, thats a damn fine idea. so long as you guys that are local to each other want to coordinate it. That should cut down on shipping costs dramatically. Anyone that wants to gang a few together and hand distribute on that end is welcome to do so.

Very kewl.... Soon as U post an updated picture, I'll point the local guys to the thread and round 'em up. We''ll see how many we can get... especially since the weather will cool off in the next couple of months, making perfect Targa-off time.

Hello WeezL,
Were any MkIIIs involved in fitting, other than your own? The reason I ask...I had a set of the original front-to-back targa bars that fit my old MkIII perfectly, but would not install on my current car. I sold them.

Your initial post with the pics indicated you did the mod to resolve a severe chassis shake at speed with your car. A shake that my car does not have, which makes me wonder how well a bar fitted to your car will fit mine. If you have fit the unit to other cars, please let us know if fit was an issue.

Thank you.
