Never heard of rock guard but my friend used rhino liner on his truck bed and said it was fairly easy to do. Maybe look at some other types of truck bed liners. If I was putting my carpet back in I wouldnt even use anything thoug since the carpet has the matting on the bottom.

it cost me somewhere around $240CAD (maybe even less) for 100sq.ft of the b-quiet ultimate. Then i installed it myself. huge improvement and price friendly.

im not gutting it, im puttin new efficient, lighter stuff in, once take all the stock stuff out, im spraying undercoat all over the floor, then im putting this type of insulation(not dynamat or any of that stuff) and it works real good, inexpensive. and it keeps your car warmer in the winter.

that's what i'm gonna do (not the insulation for winter though) but when i get my car restored, i'm going to have the floors stripped to bare metal, patched up if there's any holes from rust, then let them put a thick ass layer of rhino-liner on there to keep the road noise out.

ya surprising there is not much rust on the floor or inner wheel wells except for 1 little hole on the passenger side, ill have more pics here soon of all the inside.

im still contemplating on the type of stuff i should use, cuz i might use undercoating, rhino-liner, or rockguard. and i no most pros and cons about each. and i STILL have to get the new material to lay down.

No updates for a while. I'm wondering how much quieter this thing is compared to stock sound deadening. Is it worth it taking the stock one out and putting this in??? Has anyone done a DB test???
