Swapping Stock Boost Gauge for Stock Volt Gauge

Has anyone done this mod after installing an aftermarket boost gauge; in lets say a guage pod; and replaced the stock boost gauge with the stock volt gauge?

What I want to know is how you hooked up the volt gauge, did you use existing contacts points on the printed circuit or did you just run a wire from the gauge to a 12 v source so the gauge reads voltage all the time, or a switched 12 v source

It's been done before numerous times. It fits right in the stock location with no modification necessary. All the electrical hook ups are there. Plug and play.
I'm sure if you do a quick search you'll find some more info on it

hrm...plug + play = good

question i know this was forever ago and i read a similair post a looooong time ago might have even been when i was stupid enough to hangout on SF, but i digress....

i did this thismorning.....result....my volt meter is a boost gauge measureing Volts....:scratch: as i push the gas the volt meter goes from 0 up to around 12 volts and when i shift gears it hits 0 again.....

my question is how stupid do you have to be to screw up this MOD??

Slept alot since then and drank many beers too, but here goes---there is a spot pretty close to the stock boost gauge that says +, hook the + terminal of the new 12v gauge to there, then follow the trace on the printed curcuit to a ground and hook up the other terminal on the gauge to there. I did this mod and mine works perfectly. Turn the key on and instant voltage reading, turn it off and back to zero. Hope this helps you, been a while since I did this mod, can't remeber everything, but it isn't hard to do.

i observed my NA cluster and saw there was an extra 'box' on the turbo and realized it is sending the boost signal to the contacts on the cluster...i removed the 'box' entirely and hooked the voltmeter up the same way it is on the NA cluster......i expect it to work now
