I swapped in LEDs and a voltmeter in my 89 turbo dash, but the needle isn't moving nor is it lighting up. I know the voltmeter works tho, I powered it up out of the car. Any suggestions?

LEDs are a diode, which prevent current from flowing backwards so if there reversed in the socket power won't flow through them.
