SupraQuebec 3rd annual meet - Going South can mean a good thing
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*** - July 13th through 15th - ***

For those who missed the first 2 years of fun, SupraQuebec is back to bring you “ Montreal 2007, A Trip South” Event. We have a weekend packed full with events to keep you going. From our traditional “Orange Ball” Show & Shine to our evening BBQ, there will lots of time to brag about your Supra and enjoy the fine company of friends.

Planned activities are:

Friday Night:

Show&Shine at the traditional spot:
The Orange Julep starting at 7pm, 19h for the 24hour clock folk.
7700 Decarie Boul
Montreal , QC H4P 2H4
(514) 738 1961, (514) 738 7486
Map of location

The Orange Julep is known to be one of the hot spots in Montreal to show off you ride as well as take in some unique orange fuzzies. Ideally situated next to the Decarie Expressway, there is a Mickie D’s right next door for the late supper crowd, a Petro-Can car wash for those who want to wash of the nasty bug spots as well as plenty of parking. As a heads up, it would be the Jean-Talon exit whether you are coming from the south(20e+10n) or north (40e+10s). Don’t miss your chance to strut your stuff.

Saturday:

9h: Breakfast (resto right next to the drag strip)
The name of the restaurant is still a mystery (might even be called Napierville Rest Stop), but it serves great breakfasts that will stuff you and add extra weight to your car so the back wheels can get a better grip. This resto is located right next to the strip so you won’t have time to digest before getting your heart racing at the Drags. For those of you from out of town, this event takes place about 30 minutes outside of Montréal and group convoys will be arranged to help you get there.

10h: Drag Racing at Napierville
15 Rg St-André, Napierville, QC J0J 1L0

Can we say more? Last year, we had some pretty fast MkIII times and this year should be even better with all the winter engine swaps and upgrades that many have done. The day is looking to be a 7M vs. 1JZ feud as several members are egar to prove their theories.. Come early to get your best time in. As a heads up, Those of you who get hungry fast or skipped the breakfast event, don’t stuff your selves too much at lunch as there is a late lunch scheduled.

Prizes will be handed out to the fastest times.

Ride #1 Towards the Eastern Townships and a town called Bromont
This year, we decided to take the members to another part of Quebec. The Eastern Townships (Canton-de-l’Est ) is the twin of the now famous Laurentians. Though the roads are not as twisty, there is plenty of mountains and scenery to enjoy.

Late Lunch in Bromont
We have reserved a spot for Supra members at EastSide Mario’s so that members can replenish themselves after the serious drag racing.

Ride #2 Continue into the Eastern Townships, this time towards a vacation town called Magog There will be good opportunities to take pictures in beautiful mountain countryside, bring your camera.

Ride #3 We complete the loop with a trip to the very extremes of the Canadian border, through Sherbrooke and end the ride at a SupraQuebec member residence. To let off some steam after abiding to the speed limit in the last rides, a Karting session is planned. The track is on the way back and has a rate of $27/15m.

BBQ and Campfire at Beefeata
Beefeata (we all know him as JYM) has invited us to settle down, put up our chairs and tents (for those who want to camp out) and enjoy the company of a campfire and a few cold ones after a great day of touring. There will be a group convoy to get members back to Montréal.

Distribution of Prizes

Sunday:
Activities yet to be determined.
As in the other years, it is always difficult to plan activities on the day when most have a long drive ahead to get home (if they ever actually want to leave). We will be updating this thread with some activities and events in the coming weeks. So far, Dyno sessions or a wild, adult only, car show are some of the ideas being tossed around.

Hotel arrangements have not been made as in the previous years, most owners coming from out of town made their own. If assistance is needed in finding a spot, just ask.

So what are you waiting for, add your name to the list and come and enjoy the great times had by the SupraQuebec group during any of their meets.
