How much are they asking? If it's not running off the gas that is in there it could be contaminated gas, but even trying to run contaminated gas can really do a number on your pump and/or injectors...I personally wouldn't touch it unless you planning on dropping some cash and effort in to the car right off the bat.

I would try jumping the fp and b+(Check the the tsrm, I'm at work, but i'm pretty sure its those two) See if the fuel pump works, and try to start it with those jumped. Also check for codes(TSRM again)

Its deffinetly not ignition if it runs with starter fluid. And stop using it cause your not getting anywhere and just wiping your cylinder walls clean(If it is Ether your using).

It really comes down to what you're aiming for then really. Are you wanting to stick with the 7M or are you going to swap in the 1JZ? Each has it's own benefits and drawbacks, both can be (probably will be) a lot of time and money and if you plan on doing your own work, blood and sweat (and don't think you won't bleed, you will!).

On a sidenote:
Punctuation is your friend.

run on paragraphs like this are very hard to read they dont seperate the points well a lot of people wont even bother to read them especially if you dont put in periods apostraphes and other things that are necessary for the english language to make sense

Just a thought ;)

ok thank you sorry about that. what i am looking to do is put in the 1jz it seems like alot of ppl realy like this moter. i will be doing the work myself with the help of my gf dad and her brother. they have there own shop and will be repainting the car also they are pro and have done alot of rebuild. his paint jobs are amazing. right now it just trying to find the car i was hoping that the 7mgte one i was looking at the 87 wouldnt be to much of a pain but it seem like it will turn out to be just as much work if not more. i would still be taking out the moter in both just so i can paint the engine bay as well. i cant do half asked honda work lol

Honestly if you're just going to be dropping an engine in get the one that is the better shell, interior/exterior, etc. If they're pretty equal, get real picky, find which interior color(s) you like more (since you'll be painting it too).
