supra truck conversion ^___^

ok so maybe its not as the title says but.. i read somewhere that the rear end on the supra and some of the same year toyota trucks almost identical.. (searched and searched but nothing....) well i was wondering if that was true..
i have an open diff in my supra (87 na), think i could swap in a truck diff?

not to burst your limited-slip bubble, but most toyota trucks (about 90%) dont come with lsd from the factory, and the ones that do come with a traction aiding device, it's usually a crappy electronic locker. Too many parts to fail, IMHO, to make it worth putting into a supra. We put supra LSDs in our Toyota pickups for that reason. Go find yourself an OEM lsd.

hmm.. thanks for the info fellas.. sorry to be so misleading.. just curious but.. wat do you guys think about that truck? i think its somethin like.. the best thing since silvia truck conversions.. heh.. how hard you guys think that is to do? i wouldnt mind cuttin up my supra..

It was a thought from the good dr that it might be possible to use toyota truck LSD ring and pinion gears. Well... this thread will explain it best. I know another member already pointed you here but I'll link you directly.
