Sun Roof Problem

hello I just bought a 91 turbo sunroof supra...
When I press the button down to open the sunroof I can hear the motor run but nothing moves
I have never owned a sunroof car so im pretty much stuck on this

any help is appreciated...thank you

I've never had to get to my sunroof motor thank god. I'd have to imagine you start by removing the headliner though?

may have jumped off the track..

yeah, definitely take the headliner off, and inspect. Make sure you don't hit the button wtih your finger in there though, might slice it right off..!

Ok so i took off the headliner and then i took off the sunroof motor and opened it up

the teeth on the cogwheel are wasted...maybe i can find another cogwheel from a different toyota car/truck sunroof in the junkyard...maybe a 4runners???
