Few quick questions on dissasembling the subframes.

I can not the the sway bar end links to come off the sway bar or where its attached to the subframe. The nut/bolt jsut keeps spinning and wont loosen up. Is there a trick to this or a certain way to do it.

Also the the little pins that are going through the end of some of the studs/bolts to stop the nuts from loosening up will not come out so i can take the nuts off to dissasemble. Again is there a certain way to do it.

I had a problem like this with my cousin's mustang when we installing new traction bars on it. When we got the nut off we had to make sure there was no weight on the nut. We then took a rubber mallet and beat on it until it came out. I haven't done this on a supra, it could be different. If anyone has a better sugestion, post it up ;).

I think your talking about a little pin that goes through a hole on the bolt right? And one half of the pin is bent straight to keep it from working back out right? What I would do is buy new ones and cut the old ones out if they refuse to come out on thier own. The hole that they are in may be so clogged up with rust and shit that they don't want to come out ;). try bending the pin straight and then beating it out with a hard flat surface that you can fit in there, it's probably a tight spot, use your imagination with the tool of your choice ;).

Hope this helps!

Starsscream5000- Thats exactly waht I am talking about lol. I was going to resort to breaking them and getting new ones. I have them straight as can be and they just wont move.

'jmanbball- I will look into that tom evening when i go to the garage. Thank you for letting me know that. I probaly would of seen that if there wasnt oil and dirt covering the whole thing.

Anyone else with suggestions????

Like everyone is saying there is an allen-head slot at the end of the sway bar link studs. However most times when dealing with rust those round, penetrating lubricant is a must. I ended up just cutting mine... You can always get new ones or make new, adjustable ones...

As far as the bolts that attach the sway bar to the subframe, I am assuming you are talking rear subframe? If the bolts just turn and do not lossen the welds on the nut on the backside of the subfram have broken loose. Best bet is to take the differential off to get access to them. After that you can put new bolts/nuts in, tighten them down and then weld the nuts to the backside of the subframe like it came from the factory. Make sure to remove the zinc coating from the buts before welding them.
