stripped threads...

anyone every had to/ had any luck with tapping new treads for the exhaust manifold? The "custom exhaust" shop that put on the OBX header, that the guy who i bought the car from gave me, seem to have F'd up some of the threads. I didnt notice until i put on the full pacesetter exhaust on the car.

More than likely the head is annealed(soft) on the exhaust side, Helicoils are the accepted "fix".

and i wouldn't go extremely tight either. Never fully trusted helicoils myself
