running it over 14 or 15 is retarded anyways, that lil stock ct just blows hot air over 14 or 15, and as to the blowing up issue, it has stell turbine fins so as long as you don't boost high for long periods ya outta be ok unless its a terribly beat up and abused turbo.

its not a matter of wrecking the turbo, its a matter of the turbo's efficiency. It becomes useless to run that turbo more than 14 or so PSI. Every turbo has a compressor map which shows in what CFM (airflow) range that the turbo is most efficient.

It gets to a point where the turbo has a very large dropoff in efficiency. Although toyota never released a compressor map for the CT26, comparing to similar sized turbo's compressor maps you would see why.

There have been a ton of threads covering this, Don't forget to search before you post. Hope the info helps.

p.s. 10-12 psi will probably give the best results as far as hitting and holding the boost and the benifits of it.

i ran 16psi on mine daily. shimmed the wg so it'd only fall to 14psi by redline.

after 15 psi it'll still make more power just not as much per psi.

i went 13.4@104 on 16 falling to 14 by redline

what about on upgraded CT26s. What kind of boost are you huys running on the 57 trim CTs. Ive heard of 16 psi but that seems like the max, however that is alot more flow than stock.

dude, i could take hondas in my NA, and unless that teg is boosted or has nitrous or is a very high compression NA, you will take him at stock boost. NA hondas are painfully slow, unless they are built corectly. chances are that if you are a good driver, you should take the teg.

put it this way, 13psi on a stock turbo, with intake, exhaust, downpipe and an AFC will hang with a c5 vette from a 60 roll.
