Not to bash your option to re-use bearings. But at a cheap price, why not buy new ones?

7M Supras in Japan never came in GE form, the early ones don't have the oil squirters.

Bearings aren't as cheap as you'd think. He'd have to buy the right select size bearings as determined by the markings on the engine, and those are only available from the dealer. The "standard" size bearings may work, but machine work is suggested.

True, but he also stated that the bearing we re-used. Meaning they were the right fitment like stock. You can buy factory sized bearing from an aftermarket for a cheap price. In my opinion whether or not it's still something I would do. Might as well get everything machined than have to worry about it later right?

No, the aftermarket bearings are "standard" size and not the select fit that came on the engine originally.

Or you can just unplug/unscrew the tach board from a GTE tach and swap that whole assy. in. :)

Also will i have to re wire the whole dash o.0? i was looking at someone elses thread and they had to do it? :aigo:
