Standalone question

I am in the process of researching standalone options for my car. All the units offered look good and offer more than enough options. WhatI am curious to find out is how the end users feel about them after having some seat time with them? What made you purchase X unit and has it lived up to your expectations?

Had a few different standalones in my car.

Wolf 3dV4
Good solid unit a bit limited in advanced functions but it all worked as expected.
Support; so so

Wolf V500
A LOT of hype and potential but fell short in the end with many of the "features" still not functional almost a year later.
Support; mediocre at best and non existant at worst

MoTeC M800
Many many features if you can afford the price of expansions, everything works as expected solid and reliable
Support; More than offsets the entry price second to none.

Stinger is a pretty interesting unit, I'm sure it has plenty of features that I haven't even touched it, and for 800-900, you just can't beat that price.

Assuming you have to remove the stock ECU? Are there any stock things that you have to sacrifice going standalone, like cruise control, etc?
