Ever since I got my new clutch I've had problems with my clutch pedal engagement. I would always engage too high up on the pedal. I took it back to my shop and he adjusted it. The only two places that it would adjust to was really close to the floor or really close to the top. We deduced that the clutch master cylinder was defective/ Anyways....he let me drive it when it was engaging close to the floor. OFG!!! I had so much power (or at least had the power transfer). I've never in my life been able to engage the clutch first then put my foot to the floor. There went the wheel spin!! It was amazing. Then I shifter to 2nd, squeeled the start of that gear. Then 3rd, had a good bark there too. Amazing. Too bad I smelled clutch afterwards. So, for now we adjusted it back to the top until I get my new master cylinder. I'm hoping that I get that kinda of power when I get that one installed. I really don't have many mods either. Only 3" exhaust, intake, and shimmed turbo.

uhmmm yeah you cant adjust a hydraulic clutch ..... your old one was prolly worn down so it gripped when the pedal was higher, so with the new one you should expect that it will grip sooner, you might want to try just bleeding the system again, also if it is your master cylinder all you need to do is replace the seals/o-rings not the whole unit.......... but thats good to hear that you like how it feels, smelling the clutch burn is normal for about the first 500 miles... again glad to hear its better for you

All of this happened with my new clutch. When I got my new clutch I replaced both the master and slave cylinders. I complained about how the pedal felt the whole time and thought maybe it was the performance clutch or something. After my shop guy grove it and tried to adjust it he decided that the master cylinder was bad. They're replacing it for free because it's still under warranty. So no worries. I was just posting because of the amazement of the power I had.
what did he adjust? My clutch engages near the top and it's a real pain in the ass... every other supra (and car) I have driven engages the clutch at the floor.
