First..the auto-lineup
92 240sx, stock drivetrain, extensively modded suspension, brakes and some seriously wide wheels/rubber
rhd skyline (don't know the year) 2.5gt stock boost, but running hard pipes exhaust etc... quick car no doubt about, coilovers and other suspension goodies
2- mr-s's one with intake/exhaust and strut bars and one stock
and..for the grand finally
06 Lotus Elise, stock.
We were on a very hilly curvy section of two lane road and we ran 4 maybe 5 laps within an hour and a half period.
I was riding in the 240, and with the 300z brake swap, and all the nismo etc suspension it was easily the fastest into the turns, scared me shitless on a few occasions but simply step on the brake and that car screams to a turning speed and the suspension takes over.
I got to ride in the skyline too, which is wierd being in what we consider the drivers seat except not driving, there was a little throttle steering, but not enough to worry about, handles the curves quite well but nothign like the 240sx,
the mr-s's did fairly well and i was surprised to see 2 younger male drivers (younger than me and i'm 22yrs old) one of the pair really pushed hard on his car and was quite please to see he was only falling behind the skyline by a marginal amount compared to the stock mr-s.
The Lotus was still at less then 1000 miles i beleive, and so the driver was babying the car until he is more comfortable with it's capabilities. Nonetheless it was still a pleasure to be able to inspect up close and personal a true drivers car. It looks so mean coming through a turn and that rear end is such a beautiful thing, with the rear diffuser and the extractors etc.
I had a wonderful day playing passenger and holding on for dear life, just thought i'd share.
