yeah, I'm in the right section.

no heat, coolant geyser out of radiator, overheating.

when the radiator cap's on, the overflow bottle's full and the radiator's empty.

I burped the car for 45 minutes straight and the bubbles kept coming.

I spent the last two weeks working on this swap, and now it's all wasted.

Repeat: It is a stock 1JZ Metal Head Gasket.

The engine has never been apart, never overheated, and has been my daily driver for over a year.

the more I think about it, the more I think it might be a cracked block or head... while the engine was sitting the weather here was very unseasonably cold for a couple weeks straight and there was probably some water left in it somewhere.

Fuck, this sucks. At least I don't need to buy a whole clip this time.

Since it's dicked anyways, have them inspected. If the head is good and the block is bad, it's a perfectly good excuse to go 1.5JZ.

One good thing about the 1J once the swap is done is that you can get an entire long block for $800. I wouldn't even bother pulling it apart.

That's the plan right now I guess, when I get my taxes back.

I don't really even need to worry what oil sump it has since I can just put mine on it.

It's mostly depressing because I spent 4-5 hours a night for two weeks getting it ready and now it's like I wasted that entire time.
