ok so today i logged into my back account to check my statement and balance. My balance is overdrawn!! So i go down the list of purchases and such, which isnt much, only big thing i did was 220 for paypal and under that theres a 300 dollar deduction from PURCHASE IP-RXPHARMACYSALES 04/29 and im like what the fuck? ive never done any pharmaceutical purchases online, especially for 300 bucks, so i called the bank and told them about it. They are going to refund my money and give me a new Check Card. So im thinking, how the hell would this happen? is it from a purchase i did online that they got my card number from, if so, where?

Fuck i hate thieves.

Bank Of America Took care of me. They are said it would take up to 7 months to figure out who the thief was, and at that point, they will inform me.

Sorry to hear buddy

thats pretty awsome they let you know who did it. Ive had my bank information "compromised" many times, and the stupid bank wont even tell me what location my information was stolen from. I told them i wanted to know where it was my info was stolen, so i could either A) not go there anymore or B) spend cash if i do go there. But they still wouldnt tell me. Fucking bull shit

I've known people that are very VERY careful that got ripped off... the only explaination was the bank's system itself got hacked into...but they would NEVER admit that...

Your CC info gets stolen in LOTS of ways. The obvious ones are people hacking into banks, or stealing your info online. But they also do shit like intercept your mail, dig through your garbage, hell, some will even pick your pocket, copy your information, then put your wallet back. Add in dishonest retailers - which they CAN'T tell you about, not until the police finishes building their case against them, insecure CC machines, and stupid shit like some store leaving a copy of their CC receipts in the trash, and it starts getting literally impossible to find out how someone gets your information.

Just check your statements, it's about all you can do.
