My block has previously been bored over .020 and im getting it honed.
Should my machinist use a torque plate while honing the cylinders?
Should he hot tank the block or should i ask him to sonic clean it?

I have JE forged pistons and goin to get new rings, are there any certain ones i should get? Where to get them from?

Get the rings recommended by JE Pistons.

You should be OK honing the cylinders without a torque plate. Honing doesnt really remove a measurable amount of material; it just roughens up the surface.

Yeah, I'd stands on that.

As far as what I remember reading in threads if your block is hot tanked then you need to replace your freeze plugs and that is why some go with sonic cleaned, mind you that is if I am remembering correctly.
