Well i have a 91 supra so i have the round mounts and they have those little metal plates above them well one of my mounts broke and i bought the ones like bic sells do i need to use the metal plates above it still?

Picture of said metal plate? I don't think you need to use them, but just to be sure, post a pic.
No the plates are not needed with solid mounts. They are just back up plates incase the stockmount breaks, it will keep the engine in place. Solid mounts cant break, so they arent needed.
