i know im not the only snowmobiler.....seeing as our cars aren't winter friendly what do you do for your horsepower addiction during the snow season!

here is my whip. it is a 91 polaris rxl 650 fuel injected sled that i just picked for $400, it has a unknown stroker/overbore kit
and aftermarket management system. the former owner was a polaris factory lake racer... this was his team setup practice/prerunner sled

and now for a question, i was out today and somehow a stud pulled through the track, and delaminated a small section
the outside bib is still there and intact, but there is a hole across one tread lug all the way to the next stud. should i be looking for a replacement track or can i band-aid it somehow?

This year Im rocking out on a 98 zr 500. the price was right, free! It was a sled my buddy had since we were about 17 ish. The past 3-4 years it has just been sitting out at his grandparents farm in the barn. So I pick it up and hve been having a blast ever since. Only real "mod" to it is a stinger style pipe. Yep she loud and not too fast

Yea when i get the chance to get out and ride. No snow down low this year meant a minimum 2 hour drive to the snow. I have only had the chance to get out 3 or 4 times this year. I used to ride all the time when i was a kid, but then got out of it. I have only had this sled for bout a year and a half. I have not had the chance to see what it will really do, as it will go places already that i should not be! It was mostly stock when i got it, but like everything i own, i cant keep my damn hands off it!

ok, just kidding. although I DO work with a guy that has that exact sled, albeit a bit more "used"

I did have a Firecat F7 that was slated to be mine until my parents traded it in. I was going to buy it for what the dealer offered them for a trade in but they went to look at a new Jag...
The dealer took them for a ride, literally and figuratively. Told them the front end was all "seized up" and would be "thousands to repair"

They took it for $800

Blamed it on the open-deck trailer. So they got a new sled AND an enclosed trailer. I really wish I went with them.

^^^ That is a very nice vintage sled there.

As for a "front end being seized up", that dealer took your parents on a ride there. The motor sells alone for $800 used. We just bought a 03 F7 snow pro that a guy crashed into a light poll for $1500 and made back the 1500 in just a couple days. Those F7's part out very good.

But an enclosed trailer is always nice to haul sled around in. Just for the fact when you get to where your riding the sled it isn't all full of road grime, salt, snow, ice, ect.

Yea, man I'm pissed. I told them it was the oldest trick in the book, I found and showed them a whole front end on ebay a few months back for like $200. Skis, shocks, everything. Still didn't care. I bet that sled is selling for like $4k right now... bastards.

Both are very nice sleds. I see there are more mountain riders then trail/ditch jumpers.

I have heard from several riders that once you ride in the mountains, you'll never want to ride on a trail again!! Must be some truth to that.

I wouldn't have it any other way 92nsx. Breathtaking views and an adrenalin rush of that 1000 foot near vertical climb. Just cant beat it

I guess I should update. Last spring I pick up this 05 ski doo. The best part is not pulling on a "rip cord" to start, electric start = FTMFW !!!!!

I put on about 100 miles this passed weekend.

p1646869_1.jpg

A pic from the window a few weeks ago. Moved the sled out side so I had more room for the caddy and a place to park the snow blower I just picked up.
