smoking questions.

Okay recently my 7m had a strike of bad luck.. i lent it to my father well i took my ute to pickup something.. i got home to find a puddle of oil under the car and then noticed oil all down the side and back of the supra. oil filter had somehow come lose and drained well he was driving it.
refilled and tightened the oil filter back on started it up.. wasnt knocking but seemed a bit noisey'er (mayb paranoid) getting lower oil pressure then i was now. not going above half way (40psi) at all cold or hot on stock gauge.

But my main worry is under decelerasion it blows smoke.. driving, boosting and idling theres no smoke..

Any idea's?

blown turbo?? because that turbo needed oil too.

wouldnt that be more noticable under boost rather then decel?.. also its either a black or blue smoke.. not white.

white is coolant.. Dunno about when it smokes.. but I know Hellslegions blown turbo smokes on idle.

yeah ive had a blown turbo before, i dont think its that.. like i said only under deceleration.. unless its some sort of freak occurance of a blown turbo.. i think its something else.. would to much oil in the sump do that maybe? i dunno..

Could be valve stem seals, or rings. Under Deceleration theres a high vacuum in the cylinder and intake manifold, so oil is getting in somewhere that sees vacuum. witch would be valve stem seals or past the rings.

stem seals and rings are quite new.. i know the whole no oil thing can damage both but thought they'd be a little more durable then that. considering if the bearings survived without to much damage.

does anyone else also think its either of these? i sort of beleave it maybe this.

drive it for a while and see if it goes away

when I put my engine back together I filled the turbo lines with oil and let it soak in a prime. It blew smoke pretty badly for a while (it's an old turbo), but it went away...

Do a full oil change as well, as the filter may have been faulty, and you'll be able to check for metal in the oil...
