once again compare the 280z's and 240z's. Their a bitchload lighter, what about the mr2's and integra's nsx...

Supras are heavy, they go fast in a straight line.. other then that their piss poor for highspeed corning and handling. Their rear end happy and love to roll.

Their fun to auto-x but unless you have alot of suspension mods i would consider a much more suitable platform..

And i have to disagree with you siman.. supras are fat pigs that suck gas and go fast. My buddy had a TD06 setup on his 7M and in WOT he could actually see the gas gauge go down as he drove in WOT..

Well I beat a friend on a backroad racing my supra against his WRX Sti. He has comparable driving skills too! TOUGE (Tow-Gay< LOL) style, he would have to stay a cars length behind me to beat me.

And yes, I have lots of suspension mods. But why would you DRIVE a car like that ( from what you are implying) without taking proper measures to make sure it CAN handle accordingly?

That brings me to the UNDERLYING reason we all own these cars. TO MAKE THEM GO FASTER.

We did not buy these cars just because the name did we? I did not. I bought it because I KNEW the potential of the car. Pretty sad when I walk aroudn parking lots at each car, all I see is POTENTIAL.

Just like when you look at a pretty girl, POTENTIAL...in bed.:naughty:

I dont mind you dissagree, just seems you have a different reason for the Supra.

i didnt buy the supra because of its potential. In fact the first supra i bought was a NA 86.5 Two Tone. I bought it because i LOVED its 80'sish styling and design of the body. Long hood, wide fenders, awesome roofline and rear lines.

I didn't know shit pisssquat about the 7M-GE/GTE when i got my NA. I knew one thing, that it looked DAMN good.

WRX STI should of out cornered you, those things are AWD and tend to stick to the road. I bet you were squealing tires or at least getting tire groan and he probably was just taking it safe. I personally rode in an STI and it took a corner at about 45mph with no problems.. I get scared doing 25-30 in the supra...

Those cars also have aluminum blocks with the complete motor weighing in right at ours.

Take for instance the VH45DE from Nissan (4.5 liter V8, all aluminum), it weighes LESS than my brothers 300zx VG30DE (6 cylinder with iron block aluminum heads).

I wish I new the reason to why you guys consistanly say that the supra is an overweight pig. It just is rediculous to even consider shaming your own car.

And the F40 is in a another whole catagory. That was a PURPOSE built race car, only sold with ammenities to make it road legal for homologation purposes.

The supra is far from a homologated race car.:icon_razz

Massupra89, I sure as hell wont have that 230hp....lol I only drove the car stock for 2 months hahahah

300hp is when the car feels "good" to me. But still slow compared to other modern day rides. So up we go with the boost. ;)

The F40 is another category but you're comparing our cars to a Lamborghini Gallardo?... ok.
I'm not talking about just weight. It's POWER to WEIGHT. We may be much lighter than a supercar that weighs 5,000. But that car will have much more power to compensate the weight it has to move. Car's are heavier now from more technology and power in those cars.

We can go into modded cars, but I'm comparing car for car, what it was worth as it was built. My car too is not stock. . I'm going with ND on the STi statement, My friend's modded WRX(not STi) will do tight offramps at 70 when my tires start to walk off the road at 60.

I'm not bashing my car at all, I love it, and don't care if a 2600lb compact will get me off the line, by second gear I'll most likely be cars ahead of something that small.

I know why it hasn't sold yet under close inspection...

This line right here: "the car needs to be tuned in a dyno machine, needs to be put on timing, it needs a boost controler and a nitrous bottle because it got stoled, it's drivible, i found a dyno in fall river that will do the tunning and expect 400hp+."

Need I say more?

That thing is far short of being classified as "sick." Under the hood is nice but I'd be embarassed to drive a MKIII around that looked like that. He's got some extremely tacky shit going on with it.

The KKK built his turbo?
KKK is a German (irony?) turbo company. I believe that Blitz turbos are manufactured by them. I may be wrong so feel free to speak up.

The title was sarcastic if anyone hasn't caught on yet... I think the thing is hideous, and an eyesore. But hey, he's got that sweet trophy, so someone must like it?
