You rarely see anyone give up a 2j for anything. You do what's best for you and good luck either way.

The biggest reason people bash the 1J is the .5L less displacement over the 7M/2J

Why on earth would you want to lose that .5L? The 2J is superior to the 1J.

I recomend not trading it.

i wast thinking about it just so i could get car back on road and ready for hot import nights in Miami and its got just over 500horses im trying to make up my mind i do like that the 1j has a higher rev but i also like torque on 2j its just its cheaper to get more power out of the 1j ,;
i just dont know what the hell i want

No. Buy a harness from Doctor Tweak. Done.

Edit: Cheaper to get more power out a motor with half a liter less of displacement but otherwise extremely similar? Uh... Epic fail.

I agree with this one.

If he's going to put a 2JZ-GTE into his SC300, he's going to have to do just as much wiring as putting the 1JZ into his SC300.

Hell, he could use the bottom end in the SC300, and make a 1.5JZ SC300. That would be sweet.
