Shimming pin holes on MHG

So I got my block and head all cleaned up ready for the head to be installed. Cleaned up my 3mm MHG, set it on the block, and it won't fit. I've heard of this being an issue before. I messed with it for a while but never got it on. So I pulled it off, recleaned the block deck again, and pulled out my brand new 2mm MHG. Same problem. The strange thing is that I can take a stock headgasket and it'll go right on. But that's not an option so.....

What should I do? Use a dremel and clear out the holes just a little bit?

Did this MHG come off this engine? And, did you compare the OEM HG holes to the MHG holes?

How about a pic of the hole misalignments...it should fit with no issues (assuming it's for this motor ;))

the small studs coming out of the block deck. the 3mm came off my recently blown 7m, and now i want to put it on my good block. both blocks are completely stock. when the head gasket lays on the deck, the studs (one on the dront side of the deck, one on the back) hold it in place. the gasket wont lay down flat on the deck because i cant get it over both the small studs, just one or the other.

its just strange that i have two with this problem, yet one of these gaskets just came off another motor and was holding 20lbs constantly.
