Miguel, I'm not sure if you're for Vegas today or tomorrow but have fun and be safe.

I'm at a point where I'm happy with my car. No leaks, runs good, good small turbo... just need to keep dialing in the mapecu. My old ass laptop to run mapecu doesn't last but 45minutes before running out of battery. I'm slow at making changes to the fuel table. It does run good though. Still need to lean out a couple of rich spots. I'll try to do that tomorrow.
I do have low compression/leak down results in cylinder #1 though. I'll look into that when it gets cooler.

Unfortunately I haven't left yet and was planning on doing so today. I still have a few things left to do on the car (the electrical set me back more than i thought) and should be done today. I might be heading out tonight if i'm not too tired or tomorrow bright and early.

I'm going to have to make a video for the rest of the pics since they are in the hundreds and I'm going to need me to quit my job just to upload them all on here..... lol. I have video coverage as well so ill try to mix it all in there in sequence as the days progressed. Stay tuned.....

Looks like an awesome turn out. Glad you had a good time. At least you know your car can make a long distant trip. That's cool. Where did you get the leather interior bits from? They look good.

Yeah the car made it perfectly fine without heaitation for the 2nd time which was awesome. I've always had a great deal of confidencein the car and I guess it doesn't hurt that I checked its vitals every time I stopped. Lol

I got the leather online from a guy that makes custom interiors over by Australia. They came out great and its genuine Italian leather.

-Marc Follender

It would be nice to get several of us together. I'm not planning on pushing the car like I did last time we ran, I'll probably just cruise in the back of the pack try and get some good pics and video footage. My friend with the Jetta says he is going for sure. We put in a few more upgrades on his car and he wants to test them out hopefully his tranny doesnt overheat this time around with the cooler weather.

Ok, I've run into a pretty big problem with the pics and video. My computer seems to be taking a turn for the worse and I can't access any files on the harddrive at the moment. This all happened while i was making the video too so hopefully none of the files get corrupted otherwise it will be bye bye pics and video  I know my way around a computer enough to get me by so hopefully i can salvage everything on there since i have documents and what not for the bussiness as well. Can't blame anyone but myself really since the laptop has done more than its capabilities since i overclock it to do video editing and max out all the resources. I'm pretty sure i can get it going again its just going to take a little time to figure out where everything when wrong keep your fingers crossed and its time for a new laptop!!! :x:

Great news!!! I was able to get my laptop up and running again, there was a corruption on one of the drives that made everything go wacko. Either way i needed a new laptop so i went out and purchased one today and leaving it to charge over night. I'll be setting everything up tommorow morning and hopefully have all the programs, music, data, etc. transferred over by noon. Soon after it will pick up where I started with the video and pics from Vegas :icon_bigg

This morning I took a nice drive out towards the three sisters roads. I only drove on fm337 from Medina to Leaky then made my way back home. I was going to drive the others, but I really didn't plan on it so I cut it short. I didn't want to be out half the day. I think I'm going to make a regular thing of driving out there every other weekend. It's so beautiful out there.

I'm still working on the video with all the pics, I had the project saved but then i made the rookie mistake to try and organize all the pics by putting them in different folders; now the project can't find the files anymore since i unjumbled them, so i basically have a blank project and back to square 1 :: facepalm :: Good thing now is that i have all the files organized so i can go through the project a lot faster and not have to search through all the pics and video. If all goes well and my internet doesn't act up i should have it done and uploaded by tomorrow night :x:

Cool. I just came back from driving through the twisted sisters roads. From home and back it was 5 hours and 25minutes logging 275 miles. I made two pit stops, one in Vanderpool and one in Camp Woods. It was a very nice drive, beautiful scenery, but lonely. I was all by myself out there early in the morning. I thought I'd at least pick up a driving buddy out there, but there wasn't many people out there 8:30. I was trailing a BMW motorcycle, but I had to make a pit stop so I lost him. I'm definitely going back out there Dec. 7th. I don't think I'm going to start in Kerville with the rest of the guys, I'll hang out in Medina until I see the caravan roll through. Those who haven't been up there need to check it out at least once. It's well worth the drive.
