Salvage Yard LSD

I had a local salvage yard do a search and they found a 4.30 LSD.
$300 plus freight.
How do I make sure it is in good shape before installing?

You'd be better off finding one from a forum member. It would be much cheaper. It's only good to use a junkyard when the guys there don't realize what they have and then you can usually get stuff dirt cheap.
