Hey.

My original RPM meter is not working after the engine swap. GE to GTE, so engine harness/ECU is changed.

Does anyone know what can be causing it?

Thanks,
Scott

You need to get a GTE cluster

Actually, you don't need the whole cluster; just the GTE tach will do. Once you get your N/A cluster apart, the GTE tach is plug and play in the N/A cluster.

Thanks :)

So I can just swap the tach and keep the rest the same? Will the speedometer work(as the rpm meter doesn't)? (got no driveshaft yet så haven't had any chance to check)

Is it easy/hard to take the cluster apart and change the tach?

just so you know, you probably won't be able to just throw a full turbo cluster in if you didn't swap the dash harness. the plugs on the back of the na and turbo clusters are wired different. it's easiest to grab a used tach off a turbo and put it in your na cluster....two or three screws, super easy

oh yeah, and yes the speedo will still work, as it's mechanical

once you get the cluster out you will notice the spedo is driven by a cable, and should work if you have one of these pluged into the rear of the trans

once you have all the screws out of the cluster, it is still kinda held in there by the speedo cable, just wiggle and pull. other than that piece of cake.
