Everything was going so good with my car.
Just did my BHG not even 2k miles ago.
Boostin great.
Runnin great.
And apparently using oil great.
Pulled off freeway after doing some pulls on a stupid civic and a friend with a ae86, andddddddd
rata tat tat tattttttttt.
Pull into the parking lot, shut her off.

I blew my first motor I had in my supra because of lack of oil too.
I'm pissed off at myself and I don't know what the hell to do with the car right now. I definitely don't have the space or tools to do it, and only have about 500 bucks right now.

Just venting.
Feel free to share opinions on my options at this point?

damn kyle, it was getting good... well, now you can rebuild the fucker just like im doing:D im only in about 3,000 so far and only another 500 to go! woot!

on a more serious note, its prolly best to rebuild what you have right now, old mark can get you all the parts you need for cheap from toyota. and the machining work can be done for under 700... unless you want to go all out.

im willing to help ya out on whatever you wanna do.

*edit*
dont waste your time with a 1j, either rebuild or go 2j.
go big or go home!

I don't have the space, money, or tools to do a rebuild.
I'm thinking about just parting it out, and buying another one that is actually in good condition. This one just wasn't a good starting platform.

And for those of you critizing me last night:
I KNOW this is my fault. I KNOW this is the second this has happened. I had JUST checked my oil a couple days ago and it was fine. Then last night, I was at a meet for 8-6's and some 240's, and someone asked me to pop the hood, andddddddd hood cable was gone. It had came undone at the front a couple weeks ago, so we took off the bumper and just wrapped it up in a circle with electrical tape and it hung there. It must have come off again, because it wasn't there when I went to pop my hood.
So please don't give me your bullshit, I already know I'm a retard and screwed up again, I don't need someone else to tell me that. If you don't have anything constructive to say, don't say it.

meh okay, lets get the important things out of the way first! if you part it out, i got dibs on the turbo;)

c'mon man, if you get another one then its gonna cost way more then rebuilding what you have and you will know it will last. the car will not be worth much if you plan on selling it with RK.

i know you dont have the room, im sure you can find somewhere to do this at. hell ill offer my garage for ya :p. as long as you get everything you need to get it done within a week.

bleh, ill call you soon on this.

^ I'll help with my manpower, tools, and fresh build experience, plus I'll refer you to my machinist (he did ron's, nate's and duane's block as well =) )

I'll work for free... almost
I think pizza would cover it :biglaugh:

For $500 though... if you really needed, you could pull the engine, and just replace the bearings, considering nothing else is damaged... i have a set of stock .020 over pistons if you need. At that point it'd be worth it to pay a bit more for new rings and re-hone... and then you might as well deck the block and head good enough for a mhg, it shouldn't cost too much!

Why can't you use a corner of your garage? You don't have to take up 1/2 of it like I did, although that would only be like a quarter of yours lol
