I know some of you warned against even considering used tires, but it's what my budget can take right now. Anyway, I bought a pair of tires for the rear from a used tire place - very clean and friendly. I paid a grand total of $64 for the mounted 245-45ZR-17's and was about to leave when I mentioned something about balancing.
"Balancing? Rear wheels don't need to be balanced!"
Since I didn't pay much for mounted tires with good tread I didn't put up much of a fight, but that sounds like bullshat to me. Car isn't vibrating, and overall things have improved, but shouldn't they really be balanced? Tell me this guy's way off base and I'll have it done tomorrow.
