I guess everyone needs a gimmick. I hate when entertainers try their hand at politics, especially when they use their music to influence the energy and youth in others to achieve their agenda. I just ranted about this in an online blog post, and it is something that really hurts the brain and heart. They rile people up and stir the pot a bit too much. I bet if RATM was around instead of Audioslave, their albums would probably have been all about trashing our current leader and how we deserved what we got on 9-11.
I'm not saying that I dislike RATM - their music is great, but I tend to block out the lyrics, and some people simply do not; the ones you need to worry about in this group of people are the ones who are brainwashed by this type of "gospel".
