I've got the 7mgte in my volvo and running (idling at least, still completing the cooling sytem and intercooler setup) and i've gotta figure out which wires of the 3 in the alternator pigtail need to be connected to what. I figure i could randomly start hooking each wire up to switched power until it starts charging, but that may also be an easy way to fry and alternator.

Any thoughts?

so B/y is 15 amp fused dont know if its key on or constant you will have to follow wire E
W goes to am1 which is a constant hot fused circuit, i think its 40 amp fused.
Y/G will be your line to the light on the dash.
and i think B is from the computer, you will have to track that one down, either computer or alt fuse not clear on what that is in the pic, I can look it up in alldata but dont want to unless i have to.

Otherwise you are gonna have to find the according wires from ur well i dont even like mentioning that company.

im thinking "B", Black wire from FL "ALT" in 8-3 of TSRM is the main power wire with 100A fused directly from the battery.

Then "S", White wire from FL "AM1" in 1-1 is a 40A constant power.
Then "IG", Black/yellow is 15A fused from the ignitiion switch or in my case any "key on" switched power source.

I'll see if i can't come up with something for the "L", yellow/green wire, maybe it'll just connect directly to the original alternator's wiring going to the dash cluster.

Sound good? I guess i'll find out next week!

You put a GTE in an Ovlov? Talk about twisted...

B is the alternator's output. It needs to end up feeding the battery via a heavy gauge wire.

S (Sense) can also go to the same place or somewhere that connects to car's main power feed. Better is to run it into the dash so the system will regulate based off there. Unless the wiring/connections are perfect that may cause slight overcharging of the battery though.

IG can be, as you said, any fused and switched 12 volt source.

L is the regulator ground for the charge warning. Connect to any lamp that has switched +12 on its other side.
