will a 89+ n/a gauge cluster work properly on a 88 turbo car?

obviously there is no boost gauge and there is a volt gauge instead, but will everything else work correctly?

i'm asking because i want a 89+ cluster/speedo but with a NON-TEMS cluster and TEMS came with almost all turbos correct?

i don't care abou the turbo gauge or even the water temp or oil pressure gauges since i'll be converting everything to defi.

thanks.

It should.......

Make sure its an 89 tho. I have a 1990 cluster that will not work because of wiring changes.

So a 1989 NA cluster should work.

Oh, And all turbo cars came with TEMS

i think you're right 9 times out of 10 hellslegion, but i knew a guy that had a 89+ style supra (not sure which year) with 5-spd, turbo, targa and no tems... i guess it was rare.... didn't tems get discontinued or something in 90, 91 or 92??

hellslegion is usualyl right but only and i mean only early 89. like up until 89.5. 89 sure was a strange year for mark 3's... And The no tems might have been a NA cluster.

Yeah 1989 was a transition year. very odd cars.

TEMS was sold through allllllll years. Never discontinued.

Getting a turbo car ment you got the N/A's sport package... Which included...

Headlight washers(pre 89), an LSD, TEMS an thats it I think...

You can just disconnect that little panel.. Maybe thats what that guy did?...:dunno:
