I realize that part, thats why I said different in execution. So other than how he did this in particular, the principle is sound. Just poorly executed.
What kind of pressure does the 7M trans cooler actually see?

It would barely function as a bypass cooler let alone a full flow cooler.

The stock oil cooler in a gte doesn't see 2 pounds let alone 40 so psi isn't an issue....remember it just drains into the pan there for it will not have any pressure....
Now his set up may see pressure as it's too small of a hole...I'd use -10 hose at least for oil lines.
